The Journey Begins: Welcome to Something New


Hello and welcome! I’m Melody Causey, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.


Let me start with a quick introduction. I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Michael, for 26 years, and together we’ve raised four incredible children—each with their own stories that I’m sure will make their way into this space over time. We’ve spent most of our lives in ministry, pastoring and walking alongside others through the highs and lows of life. We’ve also dipped our toes into the business world, and currently run a broadcast engineering company.


Life has thrown us a little bit of everything—victories worth celebrating, heartaches that reshaped us, and countless in-between moments that molded our faith, our marriage, and our family.


Here’s the part that might surprise you: I’ve never really considered myself a reader, let alone a writer. So when I felt this nudge to start blogging, I questioned it more than once. But here I am, taking a step I never thought I’d take. Writing gives me a way to share what’s often hard to say out loud—lessons learned, stories lived, and encouragement from a place of real-life experience.


People have told me for years, “You need to share more.” So this is me, finally listening.


Whether you stumbled here by accident or came looking for something real, I’m grateful you’re here. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have stories, faith, and a heart to connect with others walking their own winding path.


So thank you for showing up. Thank you for reading this first post.
